It’s important to carefully look over your benefits package whenever you start with a company. Most packages will give you multiple sets of options to choose from, and knowing the difference between each plan can impact whether the insurance plan you’re on will be the right one for you and your needs.
JM Patton Associates is proud to be a provider of employee benefits for many businesses in the area, and we’re dedicated to giving your business and your employees the best care possible.
Group Health Plans
When it comes to the complexities of insurance and benefits, we can help with just about anything, from consulting and alternative funding to enrollment and claim support. To learn more about group health insurance and other employee benefits, click below.
We provide healthcare plans to several businesses, as all companies should offer basic health insurance to their employees. We allow you to choose between two different plans:
- Partially Self-Funded: The insurer receives payments from an employer, and your insurance covers claims over a certain amount
- Fully Insured: The insurer is contracted by the employer to provide coverage for their employees
Group/Voluntary Vision and Dental
Employers may also offer you our vision and dental insurance as a separate facet of your insurance plan. These plans are discretionary if you don’t regularly receive any of these services, but it never hurts.
Group Long and Short Term Disability
If you are severely injured and cannot perform the essential functions of your job, we allow you to collect income from your missed time. This way, you can focus on what really matters: your recovery.
Group Life and AD&D
In the event of untimely death during your employment, we make sure your employer provides life insurance policies. This way, any wages that are abruptly lost will be sent to your beneficiaries.
Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance follows a similar plan but covers you if you were to lose a limb or suffer another debilitating injury, such as blindness.
We offer a variety of other insurance plans in your benefits package as well, all of which are optional. They may include policies such as theft protection, financial counseling, and other policies. In some cases, Life and Disability may fall under this category.
College Scholarship Program
If you decide to go back to school or receive higher education while at your employer, we can offer you a chance at a scholarship. We want to encourage higher education and the pursuit of knowledge and believe that employers should do the same.
If you have any questions about our benefits programs or any of our other services, call the JMP team today. We value our relationships with our clients and would be more than happy to speak with you on which plans best fit your needs.
